The Country House itself is set at the heart of the Forbes of Kingennie estate with timber-decked balconies and terraces overlooking the fishing ponds, our gold course and beautiful Angus countryside. Within the Country House resides the Waterside Restaurant, which serves a wide range of mouth watering fresh local produce and good old fashioned home baking. The centre-piece of the restaurant is a stunning two pool freshwater aquarium, which contains eight species of trout along with carp, roach and bream and is a great source of information and enjoyment for children and budding fishermen.

The new Cairn o'Mount bar is open 7 days. Situated beside the Waterside Restaurant, serving a wide range of beers, spirits and delicious snacks sure to hit the spot.
The well stocked angling shop provide you with the opportunity to select from a terrific range of fishing gear, outdoor clothing, and gift ideas.

The Inglesmaldie function suite and Macnabs bar, which have been tastefully decorated in a contemporary Scottish style, also form part of the Country House. They are an idyllic location for a corporate function or event and we will take care of all the arrangements to ensure you thoroughly enjoy the experience.

All catering in the resort is handled in house, and we enjoy a superb reputation for fine food and wines and complete expertise in planning and executing high class functions.

The resort offers everything from drinks receptions with canapés through to light refreshments during meetings.  Menus range from three courses with separate drinks packages, to a full six course gourmet meal with champagne, fine wine and liqueurs.

Entertainment can also be arranged including Scottish dancing, fiddling or singing.
